FAQs
How does Infra-low frequency neurofeedback work?
The difficult symptoms you experience (pain, sleep issues, addiction, anxiety, ADD, depression, ect) are due to poor functioning brain electrical activity (brain waves). How did this dysfunction come about in the first place? There are many factors but some are; emotional and physical trauma, inflammation, poor diet, a negative environment and poor attachment. Neurofeedback gives you a window into your brainwave patterns. Sensors are placed on your head picking up your brainwave patterns. The sensors are connected to a specific software system which displays feedback of your brain’s electrical activity. This feedback comes as sounds and visuals shown on the monitor. Your brain automatically responds to the feedback by changing it’s electrical pattern.
How quickly can I expect to notice effects?
The majority of kids and adults notice some type of change within one to three sessions. Others take longer. On average people need a minimum of 20 sessions for results to “stick”. Neurofeedback requires some repetition to disrupt old brain patterns and reroute them. Since results of neurofeedback are often not instantaneous and dramatic, keeping a close watch of anything out of your “norm” is important in your training.
Can neurofeedback make me worse?
In the first sessions we are finding the correct setting for your brain. You may experience a mild headache. Neurofeedback is similar to training a muscle. For example, when you first begin to lift weights, your muscles may be sore at first. Through repetition, you build your muscles and soreness subsides. With neurofeedback training, the brain may experience “soreness” by a slight headache the first couple of sessions.
Is there solid research on NF?
Yes. There are over 1,000 medical research articles on neurofeedback. I have included some under the Reference Articles tab. Other resources of research articles are;

What do I have to do during a neurofeedback session?
All you have to do is sit in a comfortable chair and watch the screen on the monitor while listening to soothing music. You will receive visual and auditory feedback which your brain picks up through no conscious effort on your part. Your brain does the work for you. Your brain automatically picks up the electrical pattern it is making and either reinforces it or reorganizes it.
